WE ARE Girls Out Loud Peru
Girls Out Loud - Peru, is a private Facebook group, formed by teenagers and young women from different regions of Peru, from 14 to 24 years old. This is a space of sisterhood and empathy, where we feel free to share feelings and questions, which contribute to our personal and collective empowerment. Besides, we provide and share information on priority issues in terms of projects and programs of Plan International - Peru from a gender perspective and according to the needs expressed by us as girls. Also, the space provides psychosocial support and referral to protection services for girls who may require it, especially in cases of gender violence and / or violation of rights.

I am glad that there is a safe space, where we can express ourselves freely without fear of being judged and also learn and share experiences." Young woman, 18 years old. “I really like it very much, it is very important to be satisfied from time to time. And to remember these things is very useful for our lives… Thank you for this.
In my case Plan came to my school and I liked the project’s idea and attended the workshops. Then when I saw my classmates and their leadership, it made me want to be part of it and here I am… In one workshop I was able to identify that I had been sexually harassed, I don’t have any regrets of having said it and I shared my experience because it made me stronger. I continue being part of the project which has now become CEBIG, a youth organization
