Saran, 23 years old, an outgoing student in journalism at the Higher Institute of Information and Communication (Guinea).
Saran campaigns for the empowerment and development of girls and women in precarious situations. Originally from Guinea, she has been involved in community life for almost three (3) years. Through her work and dynamism, she has set up a media structure of web activist called SAT-TV, which not only identifies talents in female entrepreneurship but also relays information on several themes through its famous program “It’s my turn to speak”. Saran Traoré is also in charge of communication for the Mano River Union Youth Parliament (PJUFM). As a defender, she is responsible for organising awareness-raising activities within the associations where she campaigns to contribute to the emergence of her country and also to enhance the value of this female layer which is considered weak and has remained vulnerable for a long time. Also, Saran Traoré is the coordinator of Dakaden, an NGO that aims to help vulnerable people in general and women and girls who are victims of GBV. She campaigns to be the voice of the voiceless and to give a good image to inspire other young people younger than her in the community. In her spare time, she does reading, internet, sports and volunteering. Indeed, SAT-TV is a web tv channel that deals with all subjects and also promotes entrepreneurship. SAT-TV is part of a project to set up media (TV radio and online press) in the coming years, especially in the next 5 years. The idea of setting up this SAT-TV channel is part of his various internships in some of the local media. Given the fact that the employability of young people in the country remains to be desired, it is important to recognise that it is not easy to be employed. So she thought of exploiting what she can do best, that of reporting and hosting a programme. To be an entrepreneur, Saran Traoré believes that you first need to be ambitious, to have courage, audacity and above all perseverance, and then the least financial. As an advice, the head of SAT_TV says that there is no specific age for entrepreneurship. To all those who want to do something, never be afraid of anything. Nothing should stop you. You have to dare, be determined and above all never let go.
